Veritrace

The defect, the batches it touched and the action it needs, at once.

Veritrace is a quality management system for manufacturers of cast and machined parts. It brings the plant map, inspections, non-conformances, root cause and traceability into one view, so a failed sample is never just a number: it shows its lot, its batches and who owns the next step.

The Challenge

A plant keeps its quality in several places. Inspection results live in one tool, non-conformances in another, supplier claims in e-mail, and the lot that links them in someone’s head. When a sample fails, finding what else it touched takes hours.

The challenge was to show the defect, the batches it touched and the action it needs at once, on a tablet next to the machine as well as at a desk.

Our Solution

We designed Veritrace around one idea: a defect is never alone. Every failed sample is attached to its lot, its batches and its next step. Instead of separate tools for inspection, non-conformance and supplier claims, the product follows one lot from the plant map to the supplier and shows, at every step, how far a problem has spread.

One Map of the Plant

We built the plant overview as a map you can zoom: from all lines to one line to a single station, with open defects and the actions they need in the same view.

Inspection by Touch

We designed inspection for a tablet and a phone on the shop floor: a checklist with one tap to fail a check, a photo of the defect, and a severity the system suggests and the inspector confirms.

Why, Five Times

We turned root cause analysis into a chain you can read: the problem, each why with its evidence and the corrective actions beside it, so confirming a cause creates the work to fix it.

Trace Forward and Back

We built traceability in both directions: from a lot to the batches and customers it reached, and from a batch back to its lot, supplier and machine, with the recall scope in numbers.
